This 2.5 day professional development journey will provide Health Science Teachers in Nebraska new and innovative resources and information to use in the classroom.


Join us for the Transfusion Seminar for interactive, hands-on health science experiences you can share with your students. This two-and-a-half-day journey through some of our states best healthcare facilities and educational organizations can't be missed. Collaborate with Health Science instructors and HOSA advisors from across Nebraska for tours, networking, and hands-on learning in a phenomenal professional development experience.

Some highlights of the Transfusion tour include exploring:


-Oncology (Fred and Pamela Buffett Cancer Center)

-Surgical Services (Lauritzen Outpatient Center)

-Biocontainment Unit at Nebraska Medicine

-UNMC l Excel Lab Simulator

-Creighton University Medical Center showcase

- CHI Cardiology, Behavioral Health, and Women's Health

- Nebraska Methodist College showcase

- The Business of Health Care - Patient Experience and Reimbursement model


All Nebraska Health Science Teachers and HOSA Advisors are invited to apply to attend. Accepted participants will be provided with hotel, meals, and the seminar at no charge. Participants will need to provide their own travel to Omaha.
